 “As Gregor Samsa awoke one morning from uneasy dreams he found himself transformed in his bed into a gigantic insect.”

 Franz Kafka’s ‘Metamorphosis’ draws attention to the suffering faced by humans as we strive to lead our daily lives.  While Gregor is the central character, Metamorphosis is also about the transformation the other characters go through in the course of this story. Chris Jacobs directs Steven Berkoff’s adaptation of ‘Metamorphosis’ to be staged in Pentas 2 at the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (klpac) this August.
