The Spirit of Rugby Challenge features first for Malaysian rugby, as a mouth-watering clash between the Classic All Blacks and a World XV will take place in Kuala Lumpur, providing a unique opportunity for rugby fans in Malaysia to see some of the best players in the world.
The Challenge will be played at 5pm on the 12th June 2010 at the MBPJ Stadium, Kelana Jaya in Kuala Lumpur.
New Zealand rugby legend, Jonah Lomu will be reunited with many of his old teams mates, as he joins the Classic Blacks side which also includes other All Black legends, Andrew Mehrtens, Carlos Spencer, Greg Somerville, Byron Kelleher and Reuben Thorne in a star-studded team.
The World XV will be managed by Gareth Edwards, the Wales, British Lions and Barbarians legend and will be coached by New Zealander, Vern Cotter the current coach of Clermont Auvergne, the new Top 14 Champions in France. Under their wing will be international players from Australia, France and other major playing nations.
A match between Malaysian Super Cup champions, Negeri Sembilan Wanderers and Hong Kong club champions, Hong Kong Football Club will be played as a warm up to the main event.
